It features Dolby Digital, DTS, DTS-Discrete 6.1, Dolby Digital EX, DTS-ES Matrix 6.1, Dolby Pro Logic IIx and DTS Neo:6 Decoding. It has a 7-Band Center Graphic Equalizer. It has Quad-Field Cinema DSP 29 Surround Programs (51 Variations). The HTR-5740 also has 4 Video inputs and 1 output, 2 Component video inputs, 1 output (HDTV compatible) and Front panel AUX input terminals. It has 2 Audio inputs and 1 output, Digital inputs (2 optical/1 coax), 1 digital output, subwoofer pre-out, with 9-Band Selectable Crossover, 6-channel input and Speaker A, B, or A+B Selection. It has 40-Station AM/FM Preset tuning, Preset Remote Control and a new easy menu setup.The system comes with Yamaha's DV-C6760 5-Disc Progressive-Scan DVD Video/SA-CD Changer. The main speakers are the NS-AP6506M speakers featuring 6.5" Woofer and 3/4" Tweeters, 2-way Bass Reflex Design with a Silver Finish. The Center channel speaker has dual 3"woofers and 3/4"Tweeters and are also 2-way bass-reflex design. The surround speakers are the NS-AP6506E, with 3: Woofer and 1/2" Tweeters and are also silver. The Subwoofer is Yamaha's YST-SW010, featuring advanced-YST Active Servo for expanded bass response. It has a 100 Watt High Power Amplifer and a 6.5" Spruce Cone Driver.
